Taxing Authority Consulting Services, P.C.(TACS) is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy.  In order to access certain information on the web-site, you may be requested to provide personal information. We will only collect information where it is necessary for us to do so, and we will only collect information if it is relevant to our interaction with you.

The use of this website to receive e-mail notifications and access and/or pay bills is voluntary and is provided for your convenience.  Bill payments are processed through a third party and TACS does not maintain any information other than what is necessary to process the transaction.  No personally identifiable information (any information by which you can be identified) is required to be submitted unless you choose to use the services offered by this website.  Once you choose to provide personally identifiable information, it will only be used for the intended purposes. TACS will only keep your information for as long as we are either required to by law, or as is relevant for the purposes for which it was collected.

What information is collected?

On some TACS web pages, you can submit personal information to receive notices of tax sales or other information particularly for government employees. The type of personal information collected at these pages depends upon what you want to do. Bill payments are processed through a third party and TACS does not maintain any information other than what is necessary to process the transaction.  Information that may be collected by the third party may include name, address, phone number, e-mail address, checking account information, and credit and debit card numbers.

How will this information be used?

TACS will use your information only to notify you of services you have requested. TACS reserves the right to contact you to ensure that the information you provided remains current.  TACS may utilize this information update contact information for its clients’ purposes if the same is relevant to the scope of work for our client.

Will this information be shared?

TACS will not sell, rent or lease or otherwise disclose your personally identifiable information to others. Unless required by law, TACS will only share the information you provide with entities who are acting on behalf of TACS for the uses described above. Such entities are governed by this privacy policy with respect to the use of this data and are bound by the appropriate confidentiality agreements.

Payment Information

Upon registering through TACS with our third party billing agent, you will be able to access a listing of any tax bills assigned to TACS.  You may also pay those accounts online.  There is no guarantee that this application will show all of your tax bills.  TACS makes no guarantees, promises or warranties concerning the accuracy of information available on this website.

Online payments will usually be processed within 2 business days.  It is your responsibility to ensure that payment is made in time to meet any payment deadline.  Upon making your payment online, a receipt will be provided.  The use of this service to submit payment is an acknowledgement that the TACS and the processor of the electronic payments assume no responsibility for the data entered by the service user.

Refunds

Payments made through this website are considered final payments with respect to liabilities to our clients.  In the event that a payment is made in error, you should contact us immediately (accounting@taxva.com or 804-545-2500) to inform us of the error and we will attempt to remedy the situation to credit the proper account and, if appropriate, issue a refund of the amount incorrectly paid.  Refunds will only be issued after payment has cleared our bank and have been authorized by our respective client.
